MAB Weddings: Madina & Keith

We love our brides and even more so getting to feature their stunning weddings! MAB bride Madina’s wedding is no exception. With classic DC wedding vibes and stunning views to sweet moments during the ceremony, this is one highlight you don’t want to miss!

What made you decide on your venue?

We chose our venue because it’s absolutely gorgeous! The architecture is stunning, and the outdoor Portico space was just perfect for the vibe we wanted. It has this classic, quintessential D.C. charm that made it feel so special for our big day.

What was your inspiration for your wedding theme/style?

Our theme and style were really inspired by the venue itself. We wanted everything to be timeless and elegant to match the beautiful space, so we went with soft, romantic colors and luxurious decor that complemented the venue’s classic look.

What were your must-have elements for your wedding?

We wanted our guests to have a truly memorable and enjoyable time which all started with our amazing catering team, florist, and DJ. We really wanted to focus on the dining experience and atmosphere. Our catering team did a phenomenal job (we got so many compliments on how delicious everything was!), and the beautiful floral arrangements, candlelit tables, and elegant seating amplified the already stunning space.

What was the best part of wedding planning?

The best part was seeing our vision come together! We loved picking out the decor, flowers, and music. It was so fun to see how each element would add to the overall feel of the day.

What was the hardest part?

The hardest part was definitely managing all the logistics and making sure everything was perfect. Coordinating with vendors and keeping track of all the details was a lot of work, but it was totally worth it.

What helped you handle any wedding-related stress?

We handled the stress by staying super organized with a detailed plan and timeline thanks to our day of coordinator. We also made sure to take some time for ourselves to relax and enjoy the whole process.

What was something that you did that made your wedding feel special?

Since we didn’t have a wedding party or ring bearer, we wanted to incorporate a fun experience during the ceremony that would make our guests feel special. We hid our rings under a random chair and asked everyone to check under their seats! It was such a great moment to see the surprise on everyone’s faces and it’s something we’ll always remember!

If you can pick one, what was your favorite moment from your wedding day?

Our favorite moment was definitely the ceremony. Standing under the beautifully decorated floral arch, with the Washington Monument in the background and exchanging our vows was so magical and emotional. It’s a moment we’ll always remember.

What is one thing you couldn’t do without at your wedding? From planning, a special feature at your wedding, or while getting ready?

We couldn’t have done it without our amazing day of coordinator. They helped bring our vision to life and made sure everything ran smoothly. Their expertise and attention to detail were invaluable.

What advice would you give to other brides planning their weddings?

Our advice would be to stay organized, delegate tasks, and enjoy the journey. Focus on the love and commitment you’re celebrating, not the small details. Trust your vendors and let them do their thing. It’s your special day, so have fun with it!
