MAB Weddings: Lauren & Cameron

We love weddings! The glam of hair and makeup, the smiles of a happy bride and her bridal party as they see their finished look. But we also love seeing the finished result of the wedding, the memories captured in pictures. Once a month we’ll be highlighting a MAB wedding and including questions and answers from our bride to help you with planning your wedding!

First up is Lauren & Cameron, with their fairytale destination wedding in Ravello, Italy!

What made you choose to have a destination wedding? Why Ravello?

With our friends and family living all over the world, we loved the idea of spending time with our loved ones throughout a weekend of activities and events. We visited a couple areas and venues in Italy and immediately fell in love with Ravello and Villa Cimbrone! It’s a picturesque and quaint pedestrian town with no cars which makes it easy to navigate. You can visit historical villas, shop at boutiques and artisan shops, meet friends in town for lunch, and explore the town of Amalfi.

What was the best part of wedding planning?

Daily phone calls with my mom and working with Lauryn Prattes and Ramsey Stewart with Lauryn Prattes Styling and Events. They guided us through every step of the planning process and made it all so easy and exciting.

What was the hardest part of wedding planning?

Other than the difficult decision to postpone our wedding from June 2020, I can’t say any part of the wedding planning was difficult having Lauryn and team by your side. Despite facing many challenges like changing travel restrictions and guest count, Lauryn, Ramsey, Leigh, Erica and Francie took everything thrown at them to make each event come off flawlessly.

You had to deal with a lot of uncertainty because of COVID-19. What helped you handle the stress?

Italy required those entering the country to show their vaccination card, a negative Covid test, and a passenger locator form. Even though these restrictions and guidelines were complicated, they made us feel comfortable and safe and clearly worked as we had no Covid cases. Other than that, our five cats and two dogs are always up for some cuddling to relieve Covid related stress!

If you can pick one, what was your favorite moment of your wedding?

It’s so hard to choose one moment! Sharing our wedding weekend with so many of our favorite people, my Aunt Donna officiating our ceremony, and seeing Lauryn and Ramsey’s ideas turn into reality were among my top favorites.

I am so picky and knew I wanted to look like myself on the wedding day. Ana made me look and feel like the very best version of myself! My mom, mother in law, and I all received so many compliments on our hair and make up. We can’t thank Ana enough!

Working with a planning team you like and trust makes everything so much easier. Every vendor Lauryn and Ramsey chose matched our style. They knew Ana would be the right fit for both Ana and I, and they were right!
