MAB Bride Diaries is back this week with a new story! This week’s bride faced major challenges leading up to her wedding day. The type that the majority of brides pray to not happen to them! Read on to hear CharlestonBlonde’s tale of pre-wedding beauty troubles.
Traveling into Washington DC the week of our wedding was quite the chaotic adventure.
First, I got my eyebrows waxed Tuesday night before my wedding. When I woke up Wednesday morning my brows were bright red, raw, and very irritated! They looked terrible! I texted my wedding planner and we decided I needed to go to the dermatologist immediately.
“When I woke up Wednesday morning my brows were bright red, raw, and very irritated!”
I was able to get an emergency appointment with my dermatologist. They knew immediately upon seeing me what had happened – eyebrow wax gone bad. I started to cry asking if it would be better by my wedding on Saturday. They immediately said yes it would be better but I would need to keep it “gooped up” and moisturized with the medication ointment they were giving me.
Then, my fiance got a flat tire on his way home from the office the day we were supposed to drive to DC for our wedding, derailing our travel plans. After a few hours of waiting the flat tire was fixed, the car was packed and we were on the way to DC for our wedding.
On the car ride I would look over at my fiance and ask him if my allergic reaction was any better, and he said yes and that I always looked beautiful. I cried on and off on the drive, thinking I would be an ugly bride. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday before my wedding I kept my brows cooped up with the medication, nervous for Saturday.
“I had the PERFECT day and got to marry my best friend who is going to love me no matter what..”
By the time I woke up Saturday morning, my allergic reaction had gone away completely! Everything had cleared up and my brows were perfect for my wedding day! I had the PERFECT day and got to marry my best friend who is going to love me no matter what life throws our way. The wedding week may have started out rough, but in the end it was the BEST day of our life and our start as husband and wife.
